About this work

Soft Geometry presents a playful and lively abstract image in which geometry and colour come together. At the centre stands a form recalling a tautly stretched cushion or a soft, elastic star: rounded at the centre, with four pointed corners drawn out towards the edges. This central form seems almost three-dimensional, as though coming forward out of the plane.

The background is built up from a grid of large, coloured planes in bright tones such as yellow, turquoise, purple, pink, green and blue. Each plane has subtle diagonal shadows, creating a sense of depth and layering. The colours contrast strongly but remain in balance, giving the whole a cheerful and energetic presence.

The combination of sharp geometric lines, soft transitions and intense colours evokes associations with play, creativity and digital art. The painting radiates optimism and movement, as though forms and colours were continually sliding into one another and reorganising themselves.
