About this work

Lines of Silence presents a powerful, abstract composition in black and white that radiates calm and movement at the same time. Against a deep black background, fine white lines unfold, forming a symmetrical flower motif. At the centre a stylised flower blooms with several petals, built up from repeated contour lines that suggest depth and layering.

Around this heart, eye- or leaf-shaped structures seem to turn and to breathe, as though the flower were radiating energy in all directions. The lines are flowing and rhythmic, giving the whole a hypnotic, almost meditative effect. The interplay of black and white reinforces the contrast and emphasises form, repetition and movement. The work evokes associations with growth, equilibrium and natural order, but also with wind, waves and vibrations. It is a painting that imposes no single, fixed image, but invites the viewer to keep looking and to go on discovering new patterns and meanings.
