Layered Sphere

Layered Sphere presents a powerful, abstract composition with a strong focus on depth and layering. At the centre floats a spherical object built up from small, square planes of colour in tones of green, purple, yellow and blue. The sphere seems to catch the light and therefore radiates an almost three-dimensional presence, as though detaching itself from the surface.

Around the sphere a network of rectangular and square forms unfolds, looking like a digital or electronic landscape. The colours are saturated but darkly bordered, so that the central sphere is given extra emphasis. Soft transitions and blurrings give the whole a sense of movement, as though energy were flowing outwards from the sphere or being drawn towards it.

The work evokes associations with technology, data and an inner core: the sphere as focal point or consciousness, surrounded by a complex, almost circuit-like structure. At the same time it stays playful and mysterious through the use of colour and the rounded forms. The painting balances between order and chaos, between the digital and the organic, and invites the viewer to keep discovering new details and connections.
