MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®-07FP/ElvisPresley-120x120cm
In this painting I present Elvis Presley in a richly decorated gold frame as an almost mythical figure. His face is built up from facets of light and colour, as though he were at once human being and icon. The American flag forms the background: a symbol of his origins, his fame and the dream he embodied. Colourful butterflies float around him, symbols of transformation, freedom and transience. They seem to carry his music through time, from rock 'n' roll to melancholy ballads. His gaze is serious but vulnerable, as though he knew both the glory and the loneliness of his life.
With his voice, his charisma and his rebellious movements he shook up the world in the fifties. He became "The King" of rock 'n' roll, a symbol of youth, freedom and change. But behind the glitter was a sensitive man. The enormous fame weighed heavily on him, on his loneliness and his health. Yet his music went on speaking: of love, longing, loss and hope. Elvis died young, but his legacy lives on. Like the butterflies in the painting he continues to move through the generations — always recognisable, always changing, always present. This work tells not only who Elvis Presley was, but also what he meant: a man who grew into a legend, caught between earthly vulnerability and timeless fame.
MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®
The artworks are produced using the most modern techniques and the finest quality materials. The artwork is printed on high-grade Fuji Crystal DP II Ultra HD photographic paper, permanently bonded to a 4 mm thick Alu-dibond support and protected with a 3 mm layer of high-quality Liquid Gloss® epoxy resin. This finish gives the artwork not only an intense colour and three-dimensional presence but also a refined, luxurious appearance. It also guarantees many years of durability and resistance to ultraviolet light. Where a frame or border has been applied to the work, it is integrated within the artwork itself. The gold frame or border is integrated within the artwork and is therefore not present as a physical frame.
