MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®-07FP/JimiHendrix-120x120cm
In this painting I show how the life of Jimi Hendrix resembled a solo that began out of nothing and ended in an explosion of colour and freedom. Born in Seattle, he grew up in a world full of uncertainty, but with a guitar in his hands he found comfort. Hendrix did not simply play music; he spoke through sound, distortion and silence. He broke down barriers between genres, cultures and expectations and proved that vulnerability and strength could exist side by side. His life was short, but his influence is endless — like an echo that goes on reverberating. That story lives on in this painting. His gaze is directed upwards, as though he were listening to an inner melody only he can hear. A warm smile betrays playfulness and wonder, while butterflies dance around his head like visual chords. They symbolise freedom, transformation and the fleetingness of the moment — just like his music, which was never fixed but continually created anew.
The fragmented, prismatic forms evoke broken light and electrical resonance. Colours collide and merge at the same time, just like Hendrix's guitar playing: raw and refined, earthly and cosmic. The painting seems less a portrait than a snapshot of his mind — an artist who transcends reality and at the same time makes it more tangible. In this way the painting, together with his life, tells a single story: that of a man who transformed music into freedom, and of an image that captures that freedom in colour, movement and dream.
MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®
The artworks are produced using the most modern techniques and the finest quality materials. The artwork is printed on high-grade Fuji Crystal DP II Ultra HD photographic paper, permanently bonded to a 4 mm thick Alu-dibond support and protected with a 3 mm layer of high-quality Liquid Gloss® epoxy resin. This finish gives the artwork not only an intense colour and three-dimensional presence but also a refined, luxurious appearance. It also guarantees many years of durability and resistance to ultraviolet light. Where a frame or border has been applied to the work, it is integrated within the artwork itself. The gold frame or border is integrated within the artwork and is therefore not present as a physical frame.
