MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®-07FP/Lady Gaga-120x120cm
In this painting I present Lady Gaga as an almost mythical figure. Her face is built up from facets, as though her identity were many-layered. Soft yet powerful colours flow across her skin, while butterflies float around her. These butterflies do not seem merely decorative: they symbolise transformation, freedom and vulnerability. The elegant pose, the dramatic make-up and the luxurious white of her clothing give her a regal presence, but her gaze remains human and sensitive. The work captures her both as a pop icon and as a searching soul.
Her life reads as a story of continuous metamorphosis. Born Stefani Germanotta, she grew up in New York, where she knew from an early age that music and art were her lifeline. She experienced rejection, insecurity and the feeling of not belonging, but it was precisely this pain that became her driving force. With an unstoppable urge to be herself, she broke through with extravagant looks and daring music, confronting and inspiring the world. Behind the spectacle the core was always present: a singer-songwriter laying bare her own fears, love and strength. As in this painting, Lady Gaga has never been a fixed figure. She transformed from provocative pop star to vulnerable performer, from fashion icon to respected actress. The butterflies in the painting tell the story of her life: letting go, again and again, of what was, to make room for what is to come. The painting and her life together show that true strength lies not in perfection, but in the courage to dare to be yourself, over and over.
MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®
The artworks are produced with modern techniques and the finest materials. The artwork is printed on high-grade Fuji Crystal DP II Ultra HD photographic paper, permanently bonded to a 4 mm thick Alu-dibond support and protected with a 3 mm layer of high-quality Liquid Gloss® epoxy resin. This finish gives the work not only an intense colour and three-dimensional presence but also a precise and luxurious appearance. It offers innovative, powerful durability and resistance to ultraviolet light. A hanging fitting is mounted on the reverse of the Alu-dibond support, so that the artwork can simply be hung straight away. The gold frame forms part of the artwork itself and is therefore not present as a physical frame.
