In this painting I present Janet Jackson as a timeless icon of strength, elegance and inner freedom. Her face is built up from soft, geometric planes that emphasise her many-sided nature: artist, woman, innovator. The warm skin tones contrast with the cool blues and soft pastels in her clothing, as though different phases of a life were coming together in a single moment. Colourful butterflies float around her head — symbols of transformation, growth and rebirth. One striking detail is the key she wears as an earring: a powerful sign of autonomy, as though she herself were opening the door to her own life, creativity and future. The gold border reinforces her status as a modern queen of pop music.

The key she wears as an earring symbolises her first great hit, "Together Again", and the album that accompanied it, The Velvet Rope, and serves as a personal reminder of her childhood wish to "open the cages" for animals — a meaning she embraced as a child and one that resonated with the freedom and "openness" she pursued in music. The artwork is printed on high-grade Fuji Crystal DP II Ultra HD photographic paper, permanently bonded to a 4 mm thick Alu-dibond support and protected with a 3 mm layer of high-quality Liquid Gloss® epoxy resin. This finish gives the artwork not only an intense colour and three-dimensional presence but also a refined, luxurious appearance. It also guarantees many years of durability and resistance to ultraviolet light. Where a frame or border has been applied to the work, it is integrated within the artwork itself. The gold frame or border is integrated within the artwork and is therefore not present as a physical frame.
