MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®-07FP/Prince-120x120cm
In this painting I have rendered Prince not only as a musician but as a timeless symbol of creativity, freedom and expression. His iconic purple clothing stands for mystique, spirituality and the unique energy with which he was able to move millions of people. The intense colours and geometric backgrounds reinforce the explosive power of his music and his personality.
The butterflies around him symbolise transformation, freedom and artistic renewal. Just as Prince continually broke through boundaries in music and style, the butterflies float freely through the image as a sign of change and inspiration. The sparkling details and reflections of light refer to his charisma and to the magic of his performances.
The guitar forms the heart of the painting; an extension of his soul and emotion. Through the dynamic composition it seems as though the music were literally flowing out of the canvas. The contrast between the dark background and the vivid colours lets Prince shine as an icon who still lives on in the memory of many.
With this work I wanted to make more than a portrait — a tribute to an artist who brought music, fashion and emotion together into pure art. The painting captures his energy, his passion and his mysterious presence in a world full of colour, movement and symbolism.
MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®
The artworks are produced using the most modern techniques and the finest quality materials. The artwork is printed on high-grade Fuji Crystal DP II Ultra HD photographic paper, permanently bonded to a 4 mm thick Alu-dibond support and protected with a 3 mm layer of high-quality Liquid Gloss® epoxy resin. This finish gives the artwork not only an intense colour and three-dimensional presence but also a refined, luxurious appearance. It also guarantees many years of durability and resistance to ultraviolet light. Where a frame or border has been applied to the work, it is integrated within the artwork itself. The gold frame or border is integrated within the artwork and is therefore not present as a physical frame.
