Rhythmic Expansion

About this work

Rhythmic Expansion reveals how a composition can continue to grow from a central idea. Repetition, colour and direction form a rhythmic pattern that spreads throughout the image. Its layered construction creates depth and invites the eye to move between individual forms and the composition as a whole. The artwork presents expansion as an organic process in which every new form emerges from the energy of the previous one.
