Monochrome Rotation

Monochrome Rotation presents a powerful example of graphic abstraction in black and white, in which movement and symmetry take centre stage. From the centre a rotating structure unfolds, like the sails of a windmill or a mechanical eye turning slowly. The white lines cut sharply through the deep black background and form repetitive, diamond-shaped and leaf-like figures. These patterns seem to multiply as they fan outwards, creating a hypnotic sense of rotation.
