Folded Rhythm

About this work

Folded Rhythm presents a playful and rhythmic pattern recalling folded paper or a mosaic of petals. The image is built up from repeating, almond-shaped elements that together form a crisp geometric network. The white forms lie like blossoms over a ground of warm and fresh tones: green, yellow, orange, red and earth brown alternate in a harmonious rhythm. Through the diagonal effects of light and shadow the whole acquires a subtle depth, as though the surface had been lightly pleated or folded.
