Origami Mandala

About this work

Origami Mandala presents an abstract, radially symmetrical composition recalling a flower, a mandala or a folded origami form. From the exact centre, sharp, pointed forms radiate outwards, like layers of folded petals. The structure is complex and layered: overlapping planes seem to slide over one another, creating a sense of depth and movement. The palette is warm and lively. Yellow and gold dominate the centre and run outwards into pink, purple, orange and olive green, with accents of turquoise and soft blue here and there.
