About this work

Rhythmic Mechanism is an abstract-geometric composition in which colour, rhythm and structure take centre stage. The image consists of a layered network of crisp lines, rectangles and circles that cross and overlap one another like parts of a carefully designed mechanism. The colour scheme is powerful and harmonious: warm yellow and red are held in balance by cool blue and turquoise, with neutral greys as points of rest.
