Harvest Companion

About this work

In this painting, I present a powerful, nostalgic harvest scene centred on a farm horse. Broad, muscular and resolute, the imposing animal stands with its heavy legs firmly planted in golden straw. It is harnessed to traditional farming equipment, recalling a time when people and animals worked the land in close partnership. Warm harvest gold, ochre and earthy brown dominate the palette, contrasting with the fresh green landscape and clear, open sky.
