Architectural Sphere

About this work

Architectural Sphere presents an abstract, almost architectural composition in which colour and form together create a spherical illusion. The image is dominated by a grid of large, transparently overlapping planes of colour — blue, green, yellow, pink, purple and orange — that together form a mosaic-like pattern. At the centre a recessed square or cube seems to arise, as though the surface were being pressed inwards.
