Chromatic Flight

About this work

In this painting, I present an abstract, butterfly-like form that seems to emerge from pure colour and movement. Two broad, symmetrical wings extend from a central point, built from flowing lines and transparent layers. Rhythm, balance and energy suggest the butterfly rather than depicting it literally. The palette is intense and radiant. Pink, purple, blue, green, yellow and orange flow together like waves of light, creating a sense of continual movement.
