The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far from the Tree

About this work

A boy holds an enormous apple beneath a tree laden with red fruit. His parents appear softly in the background. The scene illustrates ‘The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree’: the apple represents ancestry, character, talent and everything passed down by our parents. Its exaggerated size suggests how rich, yet sometimes heavy, that inheritance can feel. The artwork leaves room for an individual path rooted in the previous generation.
