Looking for Nails at Low Tide

About this work

A boy studies shallow water through a magnifying glass. Rusty nails rise around him, while a monumental city stands in the background. This poetic scene illustrates ‘Looking for nails at low tide’, a Dutch expression for magnifying minor faults while overlooking the bigger picture. Warm evening light introduces a sense of insight and perspective. The artwork asks where we direct our attention and which details truly deserve our energy.
